Problemomegaly & Hypershitism - Baclofen, Curing Out Alcoholism

What is it about being an alcoholic that crap seems to follow you about?

No matter how much I try, or how sick I am, I feel like I'm living in a goldfish bowl and everybody is waiting to have a pop at me.

Do you, as one of us, ever feel like you just can't get a break? Is your life / work / loves just one step forward and a huge jump back?

Well, join a not very exclusive club. And I, for one, am fed up of it.

Having HFD is bad enough as a disease, but when it is associated with Problemomegaly and Hypershitism, it becomes almost unbearable.

We all need peace. HFD tends to bring the opposite. The thing is, I'm too old to remember which came first. Thank God for Olivier Ameisen. He always reminds me which came first.

Take care you lot.

  1. Pip, you are having such a bad time of late. There isnt much I can do except offer my support and lend a shoulder and at least you know someone is listening. I hope things improve for you soon, you deserve it for being such a good samaritan.

We are all infected with this HFD in one form or another here, and we understand how is can screw you up physically and emotionally - its a shitful disease we copped, why not cop something that people understand and dont look at you in disgust for.

Still, as you say thank god for Baclofen and Dr Amieson - I am half way through his book and can't put it down, finally something I can relate to.

  2. Trixie, people like you make me feel great. And so they should. Because you are great. I know that I put all this effort in, and there's probably only a handful of people ever know what I'm doing. It's probably a bit of a waste of time, actually. But I believe in it. I love it. And you, with your unbelievable kindness, make it all so worthwhile.
You would not believe it, but I have been accused of trying to cash in on Dr Ameisen's book by being the 'next doctor in line' to try to sell his story.
Dear God. I never do anything but promote the great man. You can even link from my site to Amazon to buy his books. Even the one that isn't even published yet!! I bet he won't put my books on his site. And I've never ever heard from anybody who has had a response from him when they e-mailed him.
Do you know, I have never had any contact with him whatsoever.

Your words for me were very wise and more appreciated than you will ever know T.
Keep them coming. This man needs them. If only there was more of you. Spread the word.

  3. Its not a waste of your time, sites like these take time to gain popularity, but once the word is out there, you wont know what hit you. We are the lucky ones who have been unbelievably lucky to get to know you and actually hear back from you.

As you say, no-one you know has heard from Dr. Amieson, you could become like that too - unreachable because your site is so popular, and even if you wanted to email everyone, time would not allow it.

As for the wankers who say you are cashing in, these people cant see past their own noses. You have never pushed anything onto us, the site is full of info and not sales driven at all. I received nothing but total support from you and I blow a big raspberry in their faces.

Keep up the good work, as I said word will spread we just have to be patient.

  4. Dear dear Trix. Oh, how I wish you might be right!!

I will make you a promise here and now, my friend. In the unlikely event that I do have a site that is so popular, I will always be there for you personally.

    It will be my privilege.

  6. This site has already helped at least one person, therefore, it is already not a waste of time.
